A little history...

Built in the 15th century on a rocky spur, the castle has undergone several transformations over the centuries. The medieval keep stands alongside a Renaissance façade and refined 17th-century interiors.

The de Courbon family, who occupied the castle for over four centuries, left their mark on it.

As you explore the rooms of the château, furnished in period style and decorated with tapestries, paintings and family portraits, you will discover the history of these illustrious figures and the secrets of their daily life at the château.

  • French gardens: extending over 10 hectares, these gardens offer breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. Admire the flowerbeds, statues and ponds, and enjoy a sublime view from the belvedere.
  • Prehistoric caves: located beneath the château, these caves, decorated with parietal engravings dating back over 17,000 years, invite you to take a trip back into prehistory.
